LAE 101 - Basic Thai Traditional Massage

Enables candidates to perform a safe and effective traditional Thai massage.  Subjects include the historical roots, theoretical foundation and the spirit of Thai massage, techniques and styles, anatomy & physiology revision, client care & consultation, massage routines, aftercare advice. This non-oil massage therapy was originally performed to facilitate a deeper meditation practice with the philosophy of peace and loving nature. The massage focuses on muscle stretching and pressing to stimulate the natural flow of ten energy lines, which conduct and carry the energy through out the body. Thai Traditional Massage, an ancient healing art, is a unique and powerful massage that focuses on stimulating the energy system through which your natural life forces flow.

 

LAE 102 - Thai Aromatic Massage

Enables candidate to perform safe and effective a deep tissue massage which offers a choice of aromatic oils in employing palm strokes and thumb pressure with a very own traditional Thai massage technique to melt away muscular aches and tensions as well as relaxes the whole body and mind. Subject will cover anatomy & physiology revision, client care & consultation, massage routines, and aftercare advice. This massage is excellent after a physically demanding day.

 

LAE 103 - Four Elements Massage

Enables candidate to perform safe and effective four elements therapy. Subject will cover anatomy & physiology revision, client care & consultation and massage routines. This Thai concept of healing treatment using the four elements philosophy of the universe and the properties of natural aromatic oils carefully blended to harmonize unbalance certain elements in the body and bring back the body to the state of equilibrium.

 

LAE 104 - Hot Clay Pot Massage

Enables candidate to perform safe and effective massage therapy which incorporates the use of heated clay pot with salt. The heat provided by the warmed clay pot reduces muscle tension, eases aches and pains, and soothes sensory nerve endings. Subject will cover anatomy & physiology revision, client care & consultation, massage routines, and aftercare advice. This massage improves muscular tone and imparts a feeling of total relaxation by soothing away accumulated tension and stress.

 

LAE 105 - Tok Sen Massage

Enables candidate to perform safe and effective on a unique ancient northern Thai therapy that uses a wooden stick made from a specially chosen tamarind tree. Using deep vibrations produced by a rhythmic tapping motion. Subject will cover Anatomy & Physiology revision, client care & consultation and massage routines, and aftercare advice.  This massage releases blockages and tension in the deep muscle groups, increasing blood circulation while stimulating localized nerve endings.

 

 

 

Program 2: Spa and Beauty Therapies

 

LAE 201 - Facial Treatment

Enables candidates to perform safe and effective treatments for the face, neck and shoulders. Subjects will cover anatomy & physiology of the head and face, skin care & skin analysis, skin problem & skin diagnosis, pH Balance, client care & consultation and treatment with cleanse, tone, moisture, face/neck/shoulder massage, face masks and eye lash & brow tinting, homecare advice.

 

LAE 202 - Manual Lymphatic Drainage Massage

Enables candidates to add Manual Lymphatic Drainage massage to their existing treatments. Subjects include anatomy & physiology revision, lymphatic system to cover additional conditions related to lymphatic system, history of Manual Lymphatic Drainage massage, Philosophy of complementary therapies, client care & consultation and Manual Lymphatic Drainage massage movements for face & body. By stimulating the flow of lymph system, it will improve the immune system and providing a sense of well being.

 

LAE 203 - Body Massage

Enables candidates to perform safe and effective body massage with 5 classical massage movements, benefits & contra-Indication, anatomy & physiology revision, client care & consultation and massage routines. This massage improves muscular tone and imparts a feeling of total relaxation by soothing away accumulated tension and stress. More importantly, this massage relaxes the body and nourishes the skin.

 

LAE 204 - Foot Reflexology

Enables candidates to perform safe and effective Foot Reflexology treatment. Subjects cover history of reflexology, theory of reflexology, anatomy & physiology of the hands & feet revision, theory of reflexology, mapping of the feet, client care & consultation, massage routines. The technique will correct imbalances and promote body’s natural self-healing mechanisms by boosting the immune system.

 

LAE 205 - Spa Treatment

Enables candidates to perform various types of spa treatments safely and effectively. Subjects cover include history of the spa Industry, type of spas, spa services, water therapy, heat treatments, client care & consultation, treatment routine: body exfoliation and body wraps.

 

 

 

Program 3: Spa and Holistic Studies

 

LAE 301 - Detoxifying Massage

Enables candidate to perform safe and effective detoxifying massage therapy. Subjects include anatomy & physiology revision, lymphatic system, using a firm and very light pressures on the skin and massage practical work, and aftercare advice. This technique stimulates natural cleansing process of the body. This treatment specifically relieves congestion in the tissues as well as boosts the flow of lymph fluid to flush out toxin and fat accumulated in the system from the everyday lifestyles.

 

LAE 302 - Hot Stone Massage

Enables candidate to perform safe and effective body massage treatments. Subjects include anatomy & physiology revision, knowledge of chakras, structure, function, benefits of stones, cleaning and reenergizing the stone, understanding use of hot stones with massage and controlling temperature of stones, contra-indication, reaction of treatment, and aftercare advice.

 

LAE 303 - Four Hands Massage

Enables candidates to perform safe and effective massage treatments for stress & tension people. Subjects include anatomy & physiology revision, consultation & assessment, four hands massage techniques, Key Principles of body & mind connectedness, meditation, and aftercare advice.

 

LAE 304 - Shiatsu Massage

Enables candidates to perform safe and effective 90 minutes Shiatsu massage session. Subjects include anatomy & physiology revision, Yin and Yang theory, 5 Elements theory, oriental diagnosis, contra-indications, client consultation, Shiatsu massage techniques and aftercare advice.

 

LAE 305 - Head and Back Massage

Enables candidate to perform safe and effective back, head & neck massage. Subjects include anatomy & physiology of the head and back, stress & recognizing the signs of stress, specific massage techniques on the back, head and the neck, and aftercare advice.

 

 

 

Program 4: Beauty Therapies

 

LAE 401 - Facial Massage

Enables candidates to perform safe and effective facial treatment for the face, neck and shoulders. Subjects include anatomy & physiology for the face muscle, skin care & skin analysis, cleanse, tone, moisture, face, neck, shoulder massage, face mask and aftercare advice.

 

LAE 402 - Aroma Massage

Enables candidate to perform safe and effective massage with aroma massage oil. Subjects include anatomy & physiology revision for skin and nervous system, history of aromatherapy and pathways into the body, olfactory system and process of smell, essential oil and its uses, consultation, aroma massage techniques, and aftercare advice. This light pressure massage technique is designed to meet the individual needs and ease away all anxiety and tension with a choice of aromatherapy oils specially blended.

 

LAE 403 - Slimming Massage

Enables candidate to perform safe and effective slimming massage. Subjects include anatomy & physiology revision, types of cellulites and fat deposits, different slimming and technique procedures; contouring and drainage, consultation & assessment, slimming massage techniques, and aftercare advice. Besides its effect to detoxify, this therapy have effects on the central nervous system as well, by stimulates the sensitive cells in the skin, underlying tissues, sensitive receptors localized in the muscle, to reduce pain and creates a general feeling of well-being.

 

LAE 404 - Waxing Treatment

Enables candidate to perform safe and effective waxing treatment. Subjects include structure and anatomy of hair & hair follicle, hair growth cycle, types of depilatory treatments, hot and warm wax techniques, contra-indication for waxing, sanitation & hygiene, equipment & products needed, waxing techniques, and aftercare advice.

 

LAE 405 - Manicure and Pedicure Treatment

Enables candidate to perform safe and effective manicure & pedicure treatment. Subjects include anatomy & physiology of hands and feet revision, nails structure & function, skin and nails diseases, product knowledge, contra-indication, manicure treatment & and hands massage, pedicure treatment & feet massage, aftercare advice.
